PEANUTS Launches Year-Long 60th Anniversary Celebrations with the First Official PEANUTS Look-a-Like Contest!With Inspiration from a Gallery of Celebrity Peanuts Look-a-Likes — Including Will Ferrell, Simon Pegg, Tina Fey and Whoopi Goldberg — Fans Can Enter Photos of Themselves or Their Kids Contest Judges Include Jill Schulz, Garth Brooks, Trisha Yearwood, “Supernanny” Jo Frost, Nigel Barker and Victoria Recaño In a Contest Benefiting the Boys & Girls Clubs of America, Entrants Compete for Family Adventure to Cedar Point, Home of Planet Snoopy (BUSINESS WIRE)-October 20, 2009-Kicking off a year-long series of events celebrating Peanuts’ 60th Anniversary in 2010, Peanuts announces the launch of its first-ever PEANUTS 60th Anniversary Photo Look-A-Like Contest (www.peanutsphotocontest.com), which will benefit Boys & Girls Clubs of America (www.bgca.org). Peanuts fans of all ages are invited to submit photos of themselves or their children looking like one of these Peanuts characters: Charlie Brown, Snoopy, Lucy, Linus, Sally, Schroeder, Franklin, Peppermint Patty, Marcie or Pigpen, or one of Snoopy’s classic alter-egos, Joe Cool or the World War I Flying Ace. Submissions will be accepted through November 3. Finalists, selected by a panel of celebrity judges, will be posted on November 11. The public will then be able to vote for their favorite finalist through November 30. The winners will be announced in December. The celebrity judges include Jill Schulz, daughter of Peanuts creator Charles M. Schulz; country music legends Garth Brooks and Trisha Yearwood; “Supernanny” Jo Frost; “America’s Next Top Model” judge and fashion photographer Nigel Barker; and Victoria Recaño, co-anchor of KTLA 5 News at 6 and KTLA 5 News at 10. “Throughout the years, the Peanuts gang has given people a sense of belonging—we can all identify with one or more of the characters and their life lessons,” says Jill Schulz. “This contest gives participants a chance to express their ‘inner Snoopy,’ so to speak, and I’m really looking forward to reviewing all the pictures and stories from our Peanuts fans around the country.” The grand-prize winner will receive an all-expenses-paid family adventure for four to Cedar Point amusement park in Sandusky, Ohio (home to Planet Snoopy). Other prizes include a collection of Warner Home Video PEANUTS DVDs and a Peanuts holiday tree and ornament collection from Hallmark Gold Crown. The Stars Come Out for Peanuts Offering inspiration to contest entrants (including caption and costume ideas)—and amusement to everyone who visits the contest website—a Celebrity Look-A-Like Gallery features film, television, music and sports stars who have an uncanny similarity to a Peanuts character…whether in looks, talent or attitude! The famous Look-a-Likes were chosen by the Peanuts team for their “resemblance” to a particular character, and all the stars were delighted to participate. “I wasn't entirely by surprised when I learnt that the Peanuts team had selected me as their Charlie Brown look-alike, since the comparison had been made several times before,” says Simon Pegg, (“Star Trek,” “Shaun of the Dead”). “I even have a Charlie Brown yellow t-shirt with black zig zags, bought for me by a friend who was of the same opinion. Now I guess it's official. Word had come from the very top and who am I to argue. I look like Charlie Brown. AMBER Alert Issued for 13 Year Old Florida Girl
Posted: Monday May 5, 2009 2:01 PM CT The State of Florida issued the Amber Alert Tuesday afternoon (05-09) after the girl was reportedly abducted in Homestead earlier Tuesday. Krystal Borrego a white female, 13 years old, 5' 2" tall with brown hair and brown eyes and weighs 130 pounds. The suspect is an unknown black male. The suspect vehicle is a 1990's, dark red two door Saturn. Anyone with information is asked to call the Homestead Police Department at 1-305-247-1535 or dial 911.
Allyson Corrales has been missing from her residence in Kansas City, Missouri, since March 6, 2009. She may be in the company of her father, Luis Corrales. Allyson's mother, who was found deceased on March 6, 2009, was not married to Luis Corrales. He did not have any custodian rights to Allyson and the mother had a Full Order of Protection against him

Satsuma is approximately 75 miles east of Gainsville. Haleigh Cummings a white female, 3 feet tall, weighs 39 pounds and has blond hair and brown eyes. She was last seen wearing a pink shirt and underwear. There are no suspects in this case at this time. However, due to the circumstances of the child's disappearance an abduction is strongly suspected. There is no suspect vehicle at this time. January 10, 2009 Immokalee, Florida ADJI DESIR DESCRIPTION Date of Birth: October 15, 2002 Place of Birth: Naples, Florida Sex: Male Hair: Black Height: 3'0" Eyes: Brown Weight: 45 pounds Race: Black (Haitian descent) THE DETAILS Adji Desir has been missing from outside his grandmother's residence in Immokalee, Florida, since Saturday, January 10, 2009, at approximately 5:30 p.m.. Adji reportedly went outside to play with neighborhood kids after dinner. He was reported missing a little while later and his whereabouts remain unknown. REMARKS Adji was last seen wearing a blue and yellow t-shirt, blue and yellow shorts, and black and gray sneakers. He is mentally handicapped and functions at a two-year-old level. He has very limited vocabulary and is non-verbal. REWARD The FBI is offering a $10,000 reward for information leading to the recovery of Adji Desir. Individuals with information concerning this case should take no action themselves, but instead immediately contact the Collier County, Florida Sheriff's Office at 1-239-793-9300, the FBI's toll-free hotline at 1-866-838-1153, or the nearest FBI Office or local law enforcement agency. Dominick Wesley Arceneaux a white male, 3 feet tall, weighs 38 pounds and has brown hair and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing blue jean shorts with red stiching on the pockets. There are no suspects in this case at this time. However, officials are leaning toward the possibility Arceneaux was kidnapped because they haven't found any sign of the boy as of Thursday night. Lluvia Cortez is an Hispanic female, 1 year old with brown eyes and brown hair, two feet tall and weighs approximately 30 pounds. She was last seen wearing a pink shirt, red and pink pants with hearts, and black shoes. The suspect is Alejandro Cortez, an Hispanic male, 30 years old, 5' 2", approximately 220 pounds with brown hair and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing a black sweat suit.
